The Role of the Montessori Early Childhood Teacher

Friday, March 05 | 06:15 PM - 07:00 PM

Session 3: Workshops
  • Philosophy
  • Workshop
  • Early Childhood

In this workshop, we will investigate the critical role of the trained Montessori teacher of young children, including the art, science, and craft that is core to their role. We will explore the unique dynamics between the teacher and child as well as the dispositions that truly prepare the Montessori educator for success, and discuss Dr. Montessori’s suggestion that teachers be initiated and engage in a study of self. We will also take a deep dive into the opportunities we have for self-reflection in this work as we strengthen our connections with young students.
