Spotlight Presentation: The Importance of Montessori Education for the Adolescent
Friday, March 05 | 05:30 PM - 06:15 PM
Montessori education shouldn’t end too soon! Adolescent programs build off the education practices in earlier Montessori levels and provide a deeper look toward social consciousness and Montessori’s hope for humankind and the world. This presentation will articulate the importance of educating 12- to 18-year-olds for a better and brighter world. We’ll review the essential components of an authentic Montessori Secondary program, examine a few misconceptions about “Erdkinder,” and explore the purposes and benefits that credentialed Secondary teachers can bring to your students and your school.
