Starting an AMS-Affiliated Teacher Education Program
Friday, March 05 | 06:15 PM - 07:00 PM
Session 3: Workshops
AMS affiliation is a mark of quality, excellence, and international recognition in teacher education programs. Join our teacher education staff and experienced program directors to learn essential information for developing an AMS-affiliated teacher education program. They will familiarize you with AMS requirements and the application and self-study processes, share experiences, and offer advice. You will leave feeling empowered and ready to start your own AMS-affiliated TEP. This session is also recommended for those preparing to submit self-studies for renewals, add new course levels, and/or the Montessori Inclusion Endorsement (MIE).
Melina Papadimitriou, MEd, is AMS director of teacher education affiliation & program services and a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Montessori Association. She has served as a teacher, head of school in the U.S. and overseas, school consultant, and AMS TEP director. AMS-credentialed (Elementary I – II). Montessori-credentialed (Early Childhood).
